I had planned to blog my Feminisms and Rhetorics proposal this week, mainly because I’m so excited about it, but they extended the deadline to Saturday so I have to delay the post. I sent the proposal online on Sunday before they extended the deadline and I still feel no need to edit it. It still feels golden, for what that’s worth. Time will tell if I’m right.

So, proposal season begins. The week after the CCCC, sometimes before I’ve had a chance to unpack, the next 4Cs proposal is due. And the others follow. I enjoy writing proposals. I see them as a way to trick myself into writing an article or even something larger. One roundtable proposal turned into the session that led to the edited collection that I’m doing with Liz Monske. So, the Fem/Rhet proposal is one that excites me. Who knows? maybe  it will, like they say about movie hits, “have legs” and really turn into something.
