I hope this is a trend--the University of Minnesota Press has announced that it will now make almost every out-of-print book it has available through Amazon. The article itself is locked behind the Chronicle’s subscription, but it goes on to say that “the program, Minnesota Archive Editions, comes out of a partnership with Amazon.com, Google, and the Minneapolis-based company BookMobile.” The books will also “be browsable using Google Book Search.”
